  • When is CorktoberFest?
    • October 22-23, 2016
  • Where is CorktoberFest?
    • CorktoberFest will be held at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds in Gaithersburg, MD. GPS 501 Perry Parkway.
  • How old do I have to be to attend CorktoberFest?
    • In order to drink at CorktoberFest one must be 21 years or older.  Designated Driver tickets are available to those in possession of a valid drivers license.  All patrons will have photo ID checked for age before entry. There are no activities for children at CorktoberFest.
  • How much does it cost to attend the Festival?
    • Wine Taster admission tickets are $35 at the gate valid for one day only.  Designated Driver tickets are $25 at the gate valid for one day only.
  • Do you offer discounted tickets?
    • Tickets bought online are $30 for one day Wine Taster admission tickets and $20 for one day Designated Driver tickets.
  • Is CorktoberFest still held if it rains?
    • Yes.  The event is held rain or shine.
  • My plans changed. Am I able to get a refund?
    • No, all sales are final.
  • I bought a ticket for Sunday and cannot go that day. Can I use it for Saturday instead?
    • Yes, we will honor the ticket.
  • What can I bring in to the CorktoberFest?
    • Blankets for the ground, low beach chairs for enjoying the concerts, as well as coolers for food and one factory sealed water bottle per person.  All coolers will be searched at the gate.
  • What am I NOT allowed to bring in to CorktoberFest?
    • Weapons, tents, pop-ups, grills, tables, glass containers, and alcohol are among the items that may not be carried onto the Fairgrounds.
  • Will my bags be searched when I arrive at the main Festival entrance?
    • Yes, all bags, coolers, backpacks, and purses will be subject to search at the entrance.
  • Will I be carded?
    • Yes, all ticket holders must show valid photo identification before being allowed to enter the Festival.
  • Are children allowed to attend CorktoberFest?
    • No.  There are no activities for children and it is not the appropriate venue for those under 21 years of age.
  • Is there re-entry allowed once I leave the Festival?
    • There is no re-entry allowed.
  • I am giving my ticket to a friend.  Can they use it if my name is on it?
    • Yes, as long as it is a valid ticket and is used by a person who is 21+ for a Wine Taster Admission or meets the minimum requirements of a Maryland driver's license for a Designated Driver will be honored.
  • What do I do if my wristband is lost?
    • Wristbands have significant value and should be treated with care.  Lost wristbands can be replaced for the online price.
  • What happens to intoxicated patrons?
    • Fair management, venue, security, and law enforcement reserve the right to remove any guest who is intoxicated, shows signs of intoxication, or causes a disturbance at the event. 
  • Are pets allowed?
    • No.  Only service animals are permitted onto the property.
  • Is smoking permitted?
    • No smoking is permitted in the barns or buildings.   Smoking is permitted on the Fairgrounds however we ask that you be respectful of those around you.
  • Where can I park to go to CorktoberFest?
    • Free Festival parking is located on the Fairgrounds at 501 Perry Parkway, Gaithersburg, MD 20877. Other access points to the Fairgrounds will be closed.
  • Is there handicapped parking at CorktoberFest?
    • Yes.  There will be handicapped parking located near the entrance to the Festival. 
  • Are the Fairgrounds handicapped accessible?
    • The Fairgrounds are handicapped accessible however the site is in a natural environment with natural elements and varied grades.
  • Responsible consumption
    • CorktoberFest is committed to responsible drinking and discourages overconsumption of alcohol.  Attendees must exercise caution when consuming alcohol at the event and know their own limits.  Anyone who exhibits signs of intoxication will not be served alcohol and may be asked to leave the event. 
  • Can we leave the Festival with purchased wine that has been opened if it is corked?
    • Yes. All re-corked or “open” containers MUST be transported in the trunk, cargo area, or behind the rear – most seat of a vehicle. Maryland law prohibits open containers in what is considered to be “passenger areas” of automobiles. 
  • Is there a limit on tastings?
    • No, your Wine Taster admission entry ticket allows you to unlimited tastings of wine.  We ask that all patrons drink responsibly and if a winery observes that you are intoxicated they will refuse to serve you.
  • What comes with my Wine Taster admission ticket?
    • With a Wine Taster admission ticket you will be provided with a commemorative wine glass, you will be able to have unlimited tastings of wine, enjoy the live musical entertainment, have access to Food Trucks, Food Booths, Craft and Commercial product vendors, and educational seminars.
  • What comes with my Designated Driver ticket?
    • With a Designated Driver ticket you will have access to 4 complimentary beverages from our Pepsi Designated Driver barn, enjoy the live musical entertainment, have access to Food Trucks, Food Booths, Craft and Commercial product vendors, and educational seminars.
